Shy guy likes girl, can't look her in the eyes and my mind goes blank.

I'm a really , and I mean shy guy . I 've always liked this girl since I joined this new high school a year ago ... since then , we've had two

confrontations although I've been in 5 of her classes so far ...What's "raporteur" (french) in English (protractor) ? : that was the question I've asked her so far twice with 7 months between , each time I made no eye contact with her acting really busy and moving at lightning speed , her reaction for the first and second time is that she laughed a some how childish laugh as I headed out 2 seconds after I popped that question yet the second time I looked in her eyes for 0.4 seconds .. moving on...

Lately I found her walking alone for two times (without her female friends) and surprisingly on the same path , on both time we had eye contact for 1 second before I looked at the ground...I'm really confused ...by the way if it's of any importance , I'm an INTP according to the myers-briggs type indicator ..I'm 95% introverted ...I'd really appreciate any help possible...

I remember I was in love with this guy in hs. And I guess he found out I liked him so he started trying to talk to me, you think I'd be super happy...But no! I was so intimidated by him & felt so insecure that when he started to talk to me I wouldn't want to talk to him. I just wanted him to leave so I could go scream "omg omg he talked to me!"

But once I graduated from hs I was able to shut out the "group think" of hs and actually think for myself, things got 1000% better. I just became very self aware. Now I realize I tottally could have gone out with my crush and he liked me too, but back then I couldn't see it. Now I'm really confident. I don't care what people say because I know who I am now, what I resent, I know the truth, anything anyone else says is BS. (not that people were mean to me, I just had that fear)

So to help you out I would suggest that you write a list of everything you like about yourself, or traits that make you like able. Like you can be a superr shy guy, but you have a lot of integrity, and would do anything for the people you care about. Things about you that are there, but others haven't gotten the chance to see you do them. Even the smallest things like your a pro at playing Halo.. lol (idk what guys do, sorry! hope I'm kinda close)

Once you can name a whole list of things that you like about you, or make you likable to a future gf. You will be a little more confident, like now you might actually pick up the cues that a girl likes you, and you will be able to believe she likes you because you know all the things that make you likable...so who could not like you? You're probably so awesome! And you have lots of opinions you just don't express them. You're complex and even though you don't make yourself heard there is a really deep thoughtful person inside you.

Nowww can you help me! I like a guy who is really shy like you! I said hi to him today and he did a smile and little wave and he said "hi" back so softly like he felt really awkward. But I just find him adorable! I think its cute that he's shy.. to a certain extent. I really want to be able to be friends with him. How can I speed up that process? SO I ask YOU. being a shy guy, how would you want a girl that likes you try to become your friend? I don't want him to feel uncomfortable, I wish I could fast forward past all that to the part where we can just talk about all kinds of things and leave the awkwardness behind.. whoaaa I wrote a book. damn I didn't even realize. well yeah... hope that helps and you can help me out!

If you can't make eye contact try at least not to look down look around if you walk beside her look ahead and glance at her, and blushing is kind of cute so don't worry about it if you do. It is easier to start conversations with out asking a question try a compliment. :) good luck

Think of things.

Like...

Vocally.

Yell at your dog in a happy tone reaaaaalllly loud.

Try repeating a certain word over and over until you can actually do it quickquickquick.

Meditate.

Pretend you're in a movie.

Talk to yourself.

Don't be ashamed of anything you do, there's no reason.

Dont pre rehearse what you're going to say.

Just go up to her.

Bro, you're exactly like me. I'm 100% introverted according to the MBTI. It seems that she may be curious/attracted to you very slightly. Quite honestly, you got to suck it up and talk to her more. I know that it is extremely hard, but the benefits are incredible. Just say "Yo, what's up? How are your classes going?" or something equally harmless. If the convo flows well, try talking more often or flirt a little, and take it from there. But you have to beat down your natural personality if you want anything to come out of this.

Sounds like your infatuated with the way she looks and acts. Honestly, until you get some confidence to talk to her your going no where. Quit over thinking crap and just strike a convo. you may not even like her after you get to know her some.

This is a good point, just talk to her on that path you guys take and say "guess we're neighbors" and ask her what's up how are classes going. like the guy above said you might not even like her personality but afterwards you'll be less afraid to talk to another girl
