Trying to lose a lot of weight - Please help!?

So i've started a new diet. So far i'm trying this "7 day soup diet." I know it's not something I should do every week because i'm not getting enough calories. Basically they're wanting me to eat all the fruits and vegetables that I want, as well as eating this soup that is packed with tons of different vegetables. (I'm on my third day and lost 4 pounds already!!! :D )

My calorie count is suppose to be: "1850 to 2050" according to this CalorieKing website. With this 7 day diet, i'm getting nowhere near this calorie amount. Lol.

Question #1: What will happen if I don't get enough calories? Will I still lose weight?

Question #2: I will be exercising, what are some good exercises that you recommend? I have a treadmill and an elliptical.

Question #3: What are some good plans to go by for this diet? For example, should I just watch what I eat and exercise a lot to lose weight, or should I count calories? If i count calories, how should I do it? This is the first calorie counting diet that i'd be doing.

Any extra tips and information is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
