Don't buy snacks or junk food! Simple as that. NEVER go to the grocery store hungry, always eat a nice healthy meal before going. Did you know that if you drink a glass of water 30 minutes before your meal, you will not eat as much. Also, if you really take your time (eat slowly) and chew your food you will feel much fuller. You can also get a blue plate and light a vanilla candle, you won't eat as much as well. The last thing you can do is occupy yourself with something. Don't stay in and watch T. V all day because you will eat purely out of boredom. I don't think it is because you're hungry, you just want to put something good in your mouth or just strictly because you're bored.

Try taking baby steps that's what I did when I noticed I was eating a lot and gaining. I lost some weight as well because my body was getting used to not eating as much and certain food. Plus I drink tons of water and make sure I take my fiber pills and multi vitamins it helps fooling my body and it keeps me full.
Eat healthy food before you get hungry.
Plan how many treats you will have per week. If someone offers you something ask yourself if it's actually worth using one of those 'treat windows' for or if there are other things you'd prefer.
Note what triggers eating other than hunger. Boredom? Stress? Socializing? Come up with strategies to handle those before they come up.
When mistakes happen figure out WHY and improve your strategies.
You have to start developing self control. Say that you will stop and you see you're going too far and just stop. Then you resist the temptation of eating again. It'll be hard in the beginning, but with the time it'll be easier and easier.

Stay away from the kitchen and do not restrict or you'll binge! The key is self control. YOU are in control of your body. When you feel full but are tempted to reach for that third donut tell yourself i do not want this in my body. and watch food inc or suck on ice cubes or gulp down a few glasses of water and you'll feel sick
This sounds like a binge eating disorder. If you stop eating it will just become a binge purge. I recommend going to a doctor and getting help before you continue to hurt yourself
