I find people now a days are really judgmental about things. If you don't follow what most people do, there are those who will question it and make a point to argue with you over things that they know little about.
I don't go to the gym on a regular basis. But I have respect for people who do. I have many friends who do and are really into fitness. A few of my friends are even personal trainers.
Despite my lack of gym experience, I still know a fair bit about what it takes to get to a certain level of fitness and different things about health. I'm no expert, but I like to be well-informed. But I would never criticize someone for their choices.
If someone wants to supplement with protein powder and hit the gym, that's their choice. Everyone has different goals.
I don't understand why people become so critical of people who have goals.
The only thing I can think of is that the people who are judging you feel threatened because they are not actively pursuing that goal. Maybe deep down inside they know they should be doing something, and aren't. And your motivation and determination are making them feel insecure about their lack of motivation.

On the other hand, if you actually need protein powders, or supplementary protein of any other kind, then yr diet sucks. Need major overhaul.
cause you hate on them for not going? I know quite a few of the "gym rats" that treat going to the gym as the holy grail, and looks down on anyone not living in the gym.
And if that's not the case, then it's a perfect case of "haters gona hate". People wil hate on anything. go to the gym and get buff? you're obviously using streoids and being a "meathead". Never going to the gym? You're not taking care of yourself.
So do what YOU like to do, and be okay that others don't necesarily agree with you :)

Lol that's how it is, you have the superior motivation to go to the gym instead of rotting in front of the tv/video games like the average lazy ass, but they try to discount your accomplishments.

Their probably jealous of you. Wishing they had the motivation and dedication like You do... Or they probably are wondering why you workout since they hang around people who dont. Protein Powder can be bad for you since its not natural, but there are many powders and supplements that you can take that are really good.
Just ignore them. What your doing is extremely good for your body and you should be proud!Maybe you're just being sensitive and have a fragile ego/self-esteem so you perceive it as "hating" when in reality they're just speaking their minds on a topic.
Well I mean if u brag they probably get mad because when ever I tell my friends I lost weight for wrestling they just get mad at me because I can do it so easily, but if you don't brag I don't know why they would hate u.
Because they probably are jealous the way you're improving and looking over time.. I see nothing wrong with it.
