. From a guy's point of view, there's nothing wrong with a little extra on a girl. I don't to feel like I'm going to break her. A HEALTHY weight is 100lbs for 5' and then 5lbs for every next inch. (5'2- 110lbs/ 5'8-140lbs) This varies from girls to guys. Don't try and be as skinny as the girls in the magazines. They're too skinny. like 10 extra lbs more than the healthy weight is totally fine.
I am no personal trainer but I know my sh*t. (excuse my french) Its all about a balanced diet (Vegetables, fruit, protein, your basic vitamins, etc.) you can actually GAIN weight if you have under 1000 calories a day. (<
You can easily increase your metabolism by eating right without working out. Try cutting things out of your diet that are a common thing for you to eat but are unhealthy such as any drink with sugar (soda, iced tea, vitamin water, Gatorade, Snapple, etc.) So basically just water. It'll fill you up and its good for you. I know someone that lost 10lbs just by cutting that out of their diet and they weren't that overweight. Also, try and find healthy stuff that's also tasty. Special K is holy-sh*t amazing. I LOVE their "Fruit and Yogurt" cereal its amazing. also their 100 calorie bars are pretty good. Kashi is also amazing but they have like 20g of fiber per serving so it makes you poop and fart a lot. (Thats why I switched to Special K) Hope this helps!

when I want to look fresh I hit up the gym. do a little toning on all my muscles, multiple reps on relatively low weight. sit ups and crunches are meh.
then I spend my time doing a lot of cardio. and I mean alot. maybe an hour and a half on the bike each day. that doesn't mean you have to though, 30 min 3 times a week is plenty. and the combination of muscle toning and consistent cardio will boost your metabolism very quickly. after that it's just important to get all your vitamins and don't eat garbage. eat smart. eat foods with a lot of vitamins. and drink lots of liquids. After a good workout I usually go home and drink 2L of choco milk!
while I study I love drinking a nice hot pot of tea to relax.
the whole don't eat carbs eat protein has some merit to it when you think about losing weight but imo it doesn't make you feel well.
i love eating, and with my workout plan I can pretty much eat whatever I want. but I choose not to eat junk food and meat cause it doesn't make me feel well.
the important thing is to stay balanced.
what feels great is eating good food and getting toned muscle on you.
because skinny isn't sexy. what's sexy is looking healthy and fit.

^^Try to tighten the muscles more than anything else. Even if you are very skinny but not toned your stomach will look flabby/pudgy.
Elliptical machine is amazing for me.
Also avoid things that bloat such as soda/other carbonated beverages (Even diet soda bloats despite the lack of calories). I have cut back a lot on them since I am dieting and I don't know if this alone has helped but my stomach has been smaller.
Lower carbs more protein, eat filling things (protein fills you up longer than carbs) and when you eat carbs, eat protein)
Eat smaller meals more often
and DONT starve yourself. it slows down your metabolism, and is unhealthy and miserable. weight loss is ALWAYS temporary when you do that (or you getreally sick and die)
Don't starve yourself but try and eat healthier than you normally do. Eat fruits and vegetables the most. But, you can cheat for breakfast! Eat whatever you would like and 4 hours later eat a healthier lunch. Try not to eat dinner anywhere of 3 hours going to sleep. Exercise, exercise, exercise! Don't overdo yourself, and start out low and exceed your way up.
-Avoid beverages that are not water, it can really make a difference.
-When your watching a t.v show, so crunches or exercises during the commercials.
-ALWAYS eat breakfast, it is the most important meal
-only eat 3 meals a day, try not to snack as much.

i'll some this up for you, eat 5-8 small meals a day (will increase your metabolism meaning your body burns fat quicker) get a good sleeping pattern, cut all fizzy drinks, drink water instead, go to the gym and lift weights - dint be scared that you will become huge, girls don't have the testosterone to build muscle like men do so by lifting weights you will burn fat and look more "toned"
almost forgot, someone said do 11 situps each night, that won't do anything for loosing your belly fat, you can't spot reduce fatthis is something most people don't know but jogging is actually the best exercise for losing fat (and yes stomach fat also). 15-30 min a day is a good length of time, drink lots of water to stay hydrated. after losing that tummy fat leg lifts are good for toning the lower region of your midsection (lower abs) and sit ups for your whole abdominal area, but with your sit ups don't bring yourself all the way up to your knees, just get it to the point where your shoulders are a bit off the floor then hold for 3-5 seconds then back down and do it again, it is a much better workout
Eat lots of veggies, don't fall into the trap of also eating a lot of fruit as well because it contains a lot of sugar. Cut out fried foods, junk food and limit carbs such as bread and pasta. Eat lean meats such as grilled chicken breast or non oily grilled fish. Exercise for an hr a day, preferably cardio an preferably in theorning when you wake up. Drink lots of water, don't eat within 2hrs of going to bed. If you do this you should lose 1-2kgs a wk depending on your body type. Don't crash diet or go crazy with exercise because you won't be able to keep it up and you'll just gain all the weight back again, if not more. I do all these things and it works for me.
Do NOT listen to those guys. Don't starve yourself. I have my Belly Button pierced also and I have chub. I don't care to I just show it off. But if you really wanna lose weight. Cut down proportions of food and do crunches and sit ups at least 30 a night(:

Why?
If you starve yourself your body muscle will be of no good use to your body anymore, once your body realizes that your starving yourself. So it wil burn it off. When you go back to normal eating you will gain weight quicker, it wil go straight into the fat cells to make up for the loss.
Dont starve yourselfcardio! and eating healthy. for instance I cut out gluten (wheat) and sugar and dropped 10 lbs in like 3 weeks with cutting portions as well. it usually cuts off a few inches off your waist and stomach so it helps with that and with the cardio and that food cut out it comes off instantly. but if you cut out gluten its in a lot (even soysauce) so you got to watch out.
try green tea everyone said that it's very awesome. at first it may taste awful but in time it's gonna taste OK (you can also try it with mint or vanilla) my sister tried it and she became addicted to it now she drinks it like crazy she said that she even feel healthier. all I know is that green tea is very good for your health and body and a lot of people said that they lost weight by drinking it
eat 1,000 calories a day I know its not much food but it really works and you will lose weight fast
