What do you like to be asked, as a "getting to know you" conversation?

It would seem as though every time I get into a conversation with a girl when trying to get to know her better, the banter dies quickly. So my question is: [Ladies] what is it that hold's your attention, what do you like to be asked about in a conversation?

Don't make it an interrogation, don't make it about facts. You should take an idea from something, maybe she says a fact about her, and then you tease her or are playful with that information, and then segway that into another "question" or topic, and let her respond.

If you just ask question after question it feels awkward, I know I've been talked to by girls like that, and I feel like I'm being interrogated and it's kinda weird that you want all these facts from me. Keep the conversation light and playful, yet at the same time you can learn about them through it.

A lot of women think that if men speak highly of their families then they are more likely to be caring. Or childhood or hobbies

But do not go to those topics if you and your family didn't really get along or your childhood wasn't great.
