Is it a family history of disease, just looking good, wanting to keep healthy?
I think what motivates me is the fact that heart disease runs in my family, high blood pressure & high cholesterol and to top it off my father has diabetes.
Working out makes me feel really good, from all those endorphins. When you are single, it is one of the best feel good therapies next to giving yourself an orgasm (or indulging in really delicious fattening foods), in my opinion. Plus I notice that even though my clothes fit if I don't work out for a while, working out 2-3 days in a row, sometimes even one intense day, my body will just look tighter and more fit in the mirror, and feel leaner.
It's also fun to just run out all your frustrations. Sometimes being stressed out or anxious or in certain edgy moods makes for a great workout.
Motivating to eat healthy is much harder. I would just tell myself that if I go too far over the edge I'll gain weight. But I do have my pig out days, and since I exercise and overall don't eat a ton, just junk sometimes, it doesn't hurt me too badly, I don't start to feel fat until I've been eating unhealthy for like 3+ days straight. So I allow indulgences here and there.
A lot of the girls in those pictures look seriously thin and unhealthy, but some look good. That's not to say they still wouldn't look great with a little more meat on them.
I don't work out regularly, although I used to. I stopped when school started again, but my motivation is feeling healthy and looking healthy.
It makes you feel good, I generally don't go out of my way to work out. I mostly just work out with the physical things I decide to do (running, mma, football etc) although if I could afford the gym id get that :P
For food I naturally love the taste of many things healthy, I don't even need to think. I love lettuce, Tea, Chicken, water etc all the foods I eat I actually like to have plus they make you feel good so that's a bonus
I would say the main thing that keeps me motivated is to be healthy. My family has a little bit of history of some high blood pressure as well, but I don't really take that into account for a motivation.
Also, working out can really lower my stress after a week of studying for exams lol.

well the gym I go to is "put up or shut the hell up" and the guy who owns it is absolutely crazy and will run you till you puke if he sees you doing something wrong. so you see his face and that's enough motivation. its a unspoken rule in there that you don't write your weights for that exercise unless you're seeing spots. ha ha mike is crazy! look him up on YouTube "true fitness solutions" he's a genius too!
Well I always wanted to have a more muscular body and its some time now that I try to achieve that goal , it may seem weird but what drives me to work out more is all the things that go wrong in my life atm , from the village that I live and the things that I can not get to the girl that went away and the stable job that I don't have atm .. All those and more create a lot of sadness and anger that I try to use creatively with working out , playing music and other stupid staff :P
for both, thinking about my goals and ideal physique. I used to dread working out, but after awhile I really look forward to it. As cliche as it is, it really does become a lifestyle.
Plus I like physical movement - kinestetic things (such as working with hardware, can be relaxing. And I don't want to say that weights and cardio is relaxing, but there is something special and enjoyable about it.)
Used to be out of shape ever since I started overeating junk food as a kid. I dropped a lot of the weight walking around in community college. When I asked a friend about working out, he just said, "just go to a gym and work out." That made it sound easy and sure enough I started doing so with free weights in my apartment. I have since enjoyed lifting weights and always strive to become stronger and maintain leanness. It is a good way to relieve stress as well.
Hating my body,
"as soon as you starting liking you body you're going to back off" Dr.cox scrubs :P
anyways off-topic but you know the site you have with body shapes ? is there one for guys ?
i don't need motivaiton to do something I already like doing. its like my hobby. If I wanna do something fun that doesn't involve people I go running. I love sweating!
To not end up like some family members - harsh I know but working out and eating better is good.
Also if you watch the biggest loser, it causes me to hop on an elliptical.
the thought of looking good for you is my inspiration
uh ok
The feeling right after I finish I feel like I am really strong I like that feeling lol. Also people who tell me I look out of shape yet just base it on what my face looks like and not my body.
It feels good both during and after, I want to look good, it's supposed to help with better moods, etc.
link This.
and watching bodybuilding videos, I don't want to get that big but it always makes me want to work out.
I just don't want to get fat, I like wearing 0's, 1's, and 2's
Attraction to females and it's the only thing that maintains my self-esteem.
That's #1 for me too, I don't want to be so dependent on drugs that I can't lead an indepndent life when I'm still fairly young. So many people are prematurely old.
Not getting big as a barn.
I just love the pump.
