I can't picture myself in a relationship ever!

I seem to suck when it comes to dating and even women in general. I'm 23 and have never had any sort of experience with any girl. I just can't see myself having a relationship. Like, I can't see myself in reality ever being in a relationship. I can't picture a girl ever falling in love with me or even wanting to date me, or even find me remotely attractive or desirable.

Does anyone else feel this way? What could be the cause of it?

Probably you are experiencing low self esteem and anxiety for the future. Most people experience this, but it's interesting that you can never picture it. Does that make you feel sad? Or do you not feel anything when you say such things?

If it makes you feel sad, then you are probably just fearful of the future. You want to experience a relationship you just never had the opportunity to do so.

If you don't care, then maybe you don't need a girl to make you happy and that's cool too. You may want a companion later.

Yeah it does make me feel sad. Even worse, it makes me worry. It's different if you have been in a relationship before but haven't had one for a while because you know you are at least capable of getting into a relationship. But when you have never had one you begin to wonder whether you will find anyone at all.

Human beings are inherently social creatures. What happens when you are alone for a long time? You tend to crave human contact or even just seeing another person. It makes you feel better. Everyone is like that. The fact that you will never find someone is a bit too extreme, because we are all social creatures and it's in our nature to set out and find someone at one point in our lives. Eventually you will be ready to do that. For some people, it just takes more time and effort.

I feel the same way. I guess it's because of the times that I was rejected, and when they told me I wasn't good enough or my skin tone wasn't "acceptable" for dating.

Maybe it has to do with your self esteem. It plays an important role on dating.
