I just graduated from college and for the most part girls I saw around campus were wearing flats (open or close) or boots yea... I don't wear sneakers unless I am going to the gym. its just not my style but I don't let what others or the majority wears influence my likes... I wear very stylish shoes too like short boots or heels or flats but remember not everyone looks good on them maybe because some don't have nice feet to show off or some shoes just don't match their personality... anyways, find what you are most comfortable with and whatever matches your way of dressing! don't pay attention to what other people think. thou I have to admit that sometimes when if I see the same chick wearing sneakers all the time, I would think she is not the girly/sexy type and yeah boots and flats are more "appropriate" for college girl I guess ... for Christmas I got a pair of Jordan from a friend and when I saw it though ummm this is just not me but I had to wear it, I still do and sometimes I just feel weird in them... I don't know why... they look nice but I guess I just don't look like the sneaker kinda girl... I don't know ... just wear what makes you comfortable!

I noticed that when I was a freshman, so the girls at my school were wearing shoes like that in high school. It's not really about maturity, it's more situational--I wouldn't wear sneakers to an interview, and I wouldn't wear stilettos to biology lab. Being an adult just happens to involve more events that are less casual than being a teenager does.
I've felt the same way you do, but when it comes down to it, I don't even like the shoes that the majority of girls at my school wear, otherwise, I would have them. Get the shoes that you want to wear, whether they're sneakers, flats, etc. There's really no need to rule out an entire group of shoes unless you legitimately don't like them.
I think you should have your own style. I normally don't wear sneakers unless I'm going to jog or something. I do normally wear flats, wedges or boots but I did recently buy a nice pair of black airwalks, not sneakers with laces and everything but I think they're in the sneaker family.
I bought them because I like them and I'm 28 so as long as you feel comfortable and it's your personal style don't stop wearing them. Just make sure you wear them when appropriate and when you need to wear flats for an interview or a dressy date then wear them. Each shoe has its occasion.
As that t-shirt jeans guy I have nothing against a girl wearing sneakers. I say if you like them and there comfortable that's all that matters right their your feet. Yes it may not make sense when you get dressed up to wear sneakers but other wise wear what suits you not everyone else.
NO WAY, I seek out girls that wear sneakers to date. I love expensive cute ones with cute socks and leggings or shorts. It looks so comfortable, cute and confident. It is an image that says I'm not out to fake impress and make out I'm someone I'm not, this is me. Its amazing!

I wear sneakers. I have noticed that everyone at my school seems to prefer flats, but flats are not my style. Actually, I don't even LIKE most of the shoes they wear. Maybe that just says something about how out of touch with style I am, but I prefer sneakers.
I do have one pair, I don't know if you'd call them "flats", but they're sort of like the equivalent of Converse shoes. But I wear them because they have a special meaning for me. I got them in the country I used to live in.
But the flats that most girls wear, I don't like. I prefer sneakers. I'd rather look athletic than trendy..Do what you're comfortable with. Keep in mind though that people view sneakers as more casual and less stylish, so if you're looking to develop a style then consider looking for more stylish sneakers or switching to flats. Ultimately you need to do what you're most comfortable with and what you prefer, so if sneakers are that then I'd imagine people will get over it, it's certainly not a big deal.
No, you don't have to that if you don't want to...My BFF wears converse chucks EVERYWHERE, & she's 21.. If you're starting to like flats & boots better that's one thing but don't feel like you HAVE to change... :( You'll be happier if you don't :D
Perhaps I'm socially retarded (in fact, other forms of retardation have been cruelly suggested), but I still prefer sneakers above all other kinds of footwear at the age of 54.
I think a girls that wear high tops are incredibly attractive. I prefer girls that wear... A. Osiris Bronx
B. Supras C. Nike Dunks D. Ugg Boots... No I don't think you're too old to wear sneakers.i think girls these days are more preppy

than others feels great!I think because you're still at school, it's no pressure to ditch your sneakers. If you're working I would say definitely ditch the sneakers. As well as going out change it up.
No you can still wear sneakers there comfortable and you want to wear what you feel most comfortable in
I think 2 things... sneakers are hotter... secondly, I think you shouldn't be a sheep and do like everyone else does with everything...
Don't do it because the vast majority of girls at your school don't wear them. I'm 20, almost 21 and I will always love my converse. =]
Wear what you want. Plenty of girls still wear sneaker in college and beyond. Plus, girls in sneakers are cute.
I think so...I was turned off by a pretty girl who still wore sneakers in her twenties...
Not at all. Wear what you want. Guys will think it's cute or even cool. :)
nothing wrong with sneakers
No. People in their 40s, 50s and 60s wear them! Choose what you like and don't worry about what other people are wearing.
