Girls- do you ever see spots when shaving underarms?

Often, when shaving my underarms, something strange happens and I hate it. The way I shave is I lift up my arm (sometimes resting it on my head) and use the other hand to shave under it. But what often happens is I'll start seeing spots! like a white glitter hallucination. It makes me feel dizzy and slightly faint. Do I have some kind of exposed nerve or something? is this normal? I think this has happened other times when not shaving if my arm was raised, or something pressed under my arm.

I know this is an old post of yours but I HAD to reply because this just started happening to me...only my spots are purple. But the same exact thing, I life my arm to shave---it's only happening on my right side---and when I turn my head to shave, I get them. Not all the time, it's happened 4x so far. Hopefully we'll get an answer soon. I think it may have something to do w/putting pressure on an artery...

This happens sometimes when pressure inside suddenly changes, but mostly it happens when getting up too fast. I never had this when shaving. Tho my sister starts seeing white spots when its too hot in the bathroom cause of the steam, so she has to open a window and breath deeply for it to go away.

This happens to me when I shave my armpits. My neurologist is getting me set up for a sonogram for my artery in my to check for clots. I have a huge knot in the muscle
Of my neck that’s been there for 20 years. Maybe the knot is impinging on my artery. Not sure yet. Check with your neuro docs
