Should I leave him on read or delivered?

I texted my crush. We both said we like each other. But he’s a horrible texter. It took him over a day to respond to my text. I’m kinda mad so I’m trying to decide whether I should leave him on read or delivered. But for the people who say I'm overreacting, I honestly want to know if it's reasonable to take that long.

PS he truly is bad at communicating but I mean everyone always has a phone on them right?

I don't like slow texters either but you need to remember there are many reasons why someone might not answer and I'm personally guilty of being slow myself because if I'm out with friends or family or working or whatever I usually focus on that and don't want to pull out my phone to text. I rather text when I have proper time then.

In my opinion you should never wait to respond because of any other reason than you being busy. If you want to respond then do it. Don't play games.

In my opinion and experience he’s probably just as nervous as you and he’s either not responding to seem busier or more mysterious, he could also be genuinely busy or forgetful. Keep in mind that you can’t identify tone or body language just reading what he types. If he’s not responding to your texts as fast as you would like, don’t try to make him text more or ask for more attention, instead shoot him a phone call and tell him you miss his voice, he’ll 100% blush and instantly want to hear more of yours.
