Should I wait for her? am I being played?

I am 22 M and its a girl 30f. Long story short:
-we met online she had and has a boyfriend.
-sparks started flying
-we met once and got intimate and I never felt that way before for anyone.
-Her boyfriend comes back from his posting. She says she needs a break to sort herself out and needs time to break up with her boyfriend of 6 years.
-I feel a little violated cause my feelings are real. No I dont ever go for taken girls.
-She is asking me to wait, do you think I am getting played here?
Should I wait for her? am I being played?
