My ex have surgery and she asked me to be there I refused , is that too rude?

Hi guys as the title say we were together for about a year but its more than a year we broke up out of nowhere she's asking me to be there for her heart surgery i can't im not cruel or rude but i just can't this girl broke my heart several times and she was like a devil with me when i asked to fix the relationship she used everything against me even good things I did she turned it on me to be bad and blocked me. i refused to be there. Is that very rude?

How you feel is how you feel, there's no right or wrong in that..
If you didn't remain friends after the break up, and you've basically been nothing but exes you don't owe her anything and have a right to put your feelings first. If the situation was reversed, would she be there for you if you were having surgery?

I honestly think she might be there but just to turn the situation to hurt me like she would say I'm here for mercy only not really for you. She's that type i remember when i Lost my job during the pandemic i told her im depressed i need you she said alright I'm here i said come over or let's meet then she said i will go with my friends for a coffee! I said then next day she said no. She's the type that turn anything to use it against someone that's why i wouldn't be there even if she will die

Hmmm you're wise man that's why sometimes i like advice from older people. I believe i will feel sorry for a while that's all i feel i lost piece of my soul with this woman she went too far beyond the limits she even enjoyed torturing me by giving no closure and played every dirty game with me. I still remember i had severe depression and i told her please can we have peaceful relationship for a while she laughed at me it was bad feeling. I had to collect myself piece by piece and stand again till this day sometimes i feel pain from what i had with her
