Do I continue the friendship or do I end the friendship?

I met this girl at work. I thought she was beautiful and I asked if I could take her out. We vibed and she eventually said yes. At this point to my knowledge she is single because she told me she want talking to anyone. We went bowling on our second date and I kissed her because I thought it was right. The next time we hang out she tells me that she doesn't want to lead me on and that she has gone back talking to her ex again because ehe blocked her for some reason. She said that it was a mistake kissing and hanging out and that she would like to be friends. I was hurt and confused. So about a week has gone by since we became friends. She told me the reason she felt that way was because I am not her type. We are on our second week of being friends and I can't take it anymore. I think I fell for her. She tells me that she talks to these guys and how they are cute and this and that. Am I simping? I see her everyday at work and I just get my mind clouded and i start to contemplate, then i get sad and depressed and then my say is ruined. I smoke weed to try and cope with my emotions but its not working this time. I want to love her but she doesn't love or even like me. I did this once in HS, I was depressed most of the time at school. Im just confused on what to do… i know what must be done but I can't. I need advice… please 😢

First, don’t use drugs or alcohol to cope with things. Not a great habit to get into. You’ll become more and more dependent to deal with things. Life is tough sometimes and heartache is inevitable. Best deal with those things straight on and not try to mask the problem.

As for your situation, I would say try to remain friends if that is what you desire and are able to set aside any romantic emotions. If you can’t? End it. There has been a line crossed at this point and things got physical.

That isn’t just your fault though. She is to blame as well. Kissing isn’t something friends do in a romantic way or really at all. You both took this relationship to another level when you get physically involved. Wasn’t right if her to do if she didn’t have feelings for you. What I mean by that is she led you to believe there was more that what was there.

Going back to her ex is another sign she doesn’t know what she wants and maybe wasn’t over him to begin with. A clear sign to back away and maybe just be friends, if possible. Good luck!
