What would you do if your ex contacted your new partner?

Let’s say your ex clearly hasn’t moved on. They’ve been trying to contact you only to be ignored so they decided to contact your new SO instead trying to get your attention. Your SO then showed you the messages that they got from your ex. What would you do in this situation?

I would tell him he has been trying to contact me and I keep ignoring him/blocking him. Then ask him to block him too.

My partner wouldn’t tolerate those sorts of messages so he’d likely block my ex before I have the chance to tell him to block them. Either way, I’d block and move on. If my ex is doing it to get my attention, then if my partner responded to those messages, then that’s only feeding into it and giving my ex the reaction that they’re seeking. Waste of time.
