It’s been a rough year and six months with my boyfriend. I'm not sure what happened but things changed with him over the last few months. He's been annoyed by me and being really mean to me for no reason. When we first met he was not like this at all. He's now distant, I can't do anything without him being annoyed by it. We still have sex and he isn't gentle like he usually is. He rushed me and is annoyed if I stop him or tell him it hurt.
We were having a discussion a few days ago and he told me he was planning on moving away back to his home state that is six hours away. I’m not sure how true that is because he was actually suppose to move back two months after he first started dating me but never did. I never knew why he didn’t.
We had an argument days after and he was so rude and nasty to me during it. I asked him why was he being this way. His reason was he was, I wasn’t respecting his boundaries. When he’s ready for me he will contact me but for now give him space also leave him alone. He also said he may be back in his home state when I hear from him.
We broke up before and he was nasty like this before ending it. Also did a “joke” last year on me where his friend called and told me he moved away and got another girlfriend. But it was a joke.

That's messed up stuff he's been doing. Honestly sounds like he might be trying to push you away on purpose at this point. A few thoughts:
- The way he treats you during sex when you say no, that's just straight up not okay at all. Red flag.
- Saying he needs space but still wants you to contact him - mind games dude. Playing with your emotions is wack.
- Fake moving away as a "joke"? What a crappy thing to do, get your hopes up like that. Total jerk move.
- Sounds like he's back to acting like that again before the last breakup. Déjà vu, ya know?
I wouldn't be surprised if he is trying to get you to end it so he doesn't have to be the "bad guy." Give him what he wants - give him space, permanently. You don't deserve to be treated like that. Obviously he's got some issues to work out on his own. Let him go do that far away from you! You'll be way better off without his cruel nonsense bringing you down. Plenty more fish in the sea - good ones who won't mess with your head like this clown.
