Pros of dating a truck driver?

I met this amazing person. And we clicked immediately. We talk on the phone / text every day. I really like him and its obvious that he likes me too. I haven't seen him in person for 3 weeks already (he is coming back after 4 weeks). And I can't stop thinking about him. I miss him. I want to be around him. I want him to touch me and kiss me. But he is not there. Im not sure if I can deal with that long distance relationship... He said that he can come back earlier if thats what I want but of course I didn't tell him to do that. He loves his job. And he loves a good salary. I can't make him drop everything and come to me.

I see a lot of cons of being in a relationship with truck driver. But what are the pros?

When he's home, talk to him about this, tell him how you feel and that you're not sure how to handle the time apart. He might feel the same way and like you, just isn't saying it (although telling you he can come home early is a subtle way of saying it). Point of this though is being open and honest so he knows how you feel, you'll find out how he feels, and he might have suggestions how to "fix" it (like he might work his trips so he's home more often). Or, maybe you can go with him for a week or two? I'm a former driver myself, so I know how hard this is, but don't let your ego/pride stand in the way, tell him how you feel. If comes home early, that's HIS choice, you didn't force him to! :)

Im not sure what happened but he decided to come home. Anyway, we will meet on weekend. And I will tell him everything 😊

Pros-You value your time together more.
-you can go with him which would be a great bonding experience
-if he does local haul he will most likely be home every night.
-You can call him or face time him whenever.

Cons
-If he does commercial he will be gone a lot and will miss out on a lot.
-You have to trust him and he will need to trust you. Otherwise it won't work.
