I don't think you understand, no one can help them heal, so you are right, but through ever healing/recovery process there has to be support. More over there can be challenges to be with some one with depression that have to be over come, and seeing someone fight to over come those challenges is a help to those fighting the depression and they see some care enough about them. But that is just my experience from fighting depression and my friends experience.
You need to put African American then. Becuase there is culturally a difference between them and us. And historic difference. The only thing we share is skin.
What's funny is that that "difference" that you're spouting is born from racist beliefs. True, cultures can be different but here in America, no matter where you're from, the color of your skin will identify you as that particular race (even though race shouldn't matter).
The fact that there are other people who--like you--are trying to separate yourselves from others reveals that you've internalized the negative biased stereotypes and messages that is spread from the American media (which is white controlled).
Anyway, I don't think plenty of American black/white/Asian etc. people care about dating an African (with all of the stereotypes abounding there such as high risk of AIDS). Not to mention that many find the various accents annoying. ;)

If they have depression, I don't mind. In fact, I'm dating a girl with depression. So yeah, I would.
No, because sometimes I tend to be mentally unstable myself.
Date? Probably not. But helping out as much as i can as a friend? Definitely!
How far would you go for helping him out?
Her being friendly is what matters. I nervous approach women who are nervous or non friendly around me. Because to me that means they're judging me
Yes I have before, I'd be cautious to date someone with depression again, but i won't rule someone out just because they have depression
no that's no good... it don't make sense... they need healing not relationship

I can't date no black person. Who's depressed that's a white people disease. Black people can't afford to be sad.
Be depressed when your rich.
You are not helping Africans with these twidted sayings
African are fine. I'm talking about black people
I am talking about Black Africans. Most Africans are black unless you consider North Africans.
