Wifey of thirty years constantly tells me how handsome I am, how much she loves and adores me, and how she could not imagine her life without me.

Yes. It just rarely, rarely, rarely ever happens. More straight men are likely to call another man handsome than women are. Women are jerks when it comes to handing out compliments... :/
