Thinking of ghosting this guy... but should I?

Anonymous
I met a guy on a dating app a few weeks ago. He quickly asked for my number and we began texting. He was flirty at first and suggested that we meet for a socially distanced date - I didn't want to because the area we live in has had a spike in covid AND how can you really get to know someone with a mask on?

I told him so and suggested that we zoom. He said that would be fine but he never set up the date. But he continued to text me everyday. So after a week I said I'd like to put a face to the texting and we set up the zoom. We chatted for about 45 minutes and the convo was fine but then he said he had to go do his laundry and he'd "text me in a bit". The next day he did text me, and he continues to but the convo is always the same "how's your day going?" or "How was your day?". It's really hard to delve into any deeper topics over text with him. So I'm wondering if he's just texting me because he's lonely? A lot of our convo has to do with hiking or biking, which is something he likes to do. I get the impression he wants someone active, which I am, I just don't hike.

Today he asked for my insta. In my opinion, that's just a classier way to scope out my pics. I wonder if he's concerned that I may be fat. (I am not). But my problem is - he isn't trying to delve into any conversations to get to know me - it's all superficial small talk. Also, I don't want to give him my insta. Should I bridge the subject with him? Or Ghost?
