Who has it worse in dating? Very short guys, or very tall girls?

Women are generally attracted to men who are taller than them, this is because height conveys good health, nutrition, and social strength and dominance. The same reason why the alpha male of the group is often the most tall and imposing.
Women are also generally shorter than men. Height distribution is a bell shaped curve in which the median height of the females is less than that of the males. This means that unless the female is an extreme outlier, she's bound of find a good number of males who are taller than her.
Now we move to the males. What must a male of short stature do to overcome this evolutionary handicap? - He must lead by reputation alone, this reputation of excellence, fame, wealth, infamy, etc. comes at a great cost. And the number of males who have achieved this feat is far less than those girls who are taller than the median and thus have to look harder to find a mate to be attracted to.

On paper, it would seem like they have it equally bad, because they are both mainly suffering from the same problem: Most men want a partner shorter than them and most women want a partner taller than them. So, if you are a tall woman or a short man, then you just have fewer options for a partner.

However, I do think short men have it slightly worse because for whatever reason being short has a larger impact on a man's perceived masculinity than being tall does on a woman's perceived femininity. And there's also the factor that men are slightly more likely to break the rule and date a woman taller than them than women are to date a man shorter than them. In other words, both men and women want a relationship in which the man is taller than the woman as a general rule, but women adhere to it more strictly than men.

The question seems sort of moot to me.
There are few girls who are over 6' 2". But there are many short people, and guys who are considered "short" as a subjective judgement. Worldwide, there are more people likely to be short than tall, because things like conditions in the womb, and childhood nutrition play a part in stunting or lessening growth. What are the causes of unusual height? Genetics, primarily; and maybe the rare gigantism?
Without question, "short" guys have it worse in dating.

I dont know based on where I come from I'll say tall girls. Because everyone is short here and I know many short men who are married. I also know personally few tall girls who are not. But who am I to judge why. I think there are many factors to it. And finding love needs a bit of luck initially

Short guys probably. I’m short and have never had a problem getting women, I know plenty of others my height who have girlfriends or are married or whatever, but yeah we get a lot of shit from some people. Mainly online.

I don’t get it really. Some people seem to get a kick out of telling short dudes how unattractive they are and that they’re doomed to be alone forever. It’s like water off of a duck’s back to me because I just think they’re pricks but that gets to some guys’ heads.

Most definitely very short guys. Not liking your options isn't having it bad: You just need to stop being so arrogant. Short guys, on the other hand, just have less options, and that is bad for dating, naturally.
