Why are guys scared to date a girl that has a brother?

My crush has known my brother before he knew me, and he told my brother that if we weren’t related, he would ask me out. He’s scared my brother would fight him if something goes wrong.

My brother is a understandable person so he would wanna try to reason with the guy instead of choosing violence, but that depends on how bad the situation would be.

Why do some guys avoid this? I feel like if he know he’s respectful, caring, loving etc. then he shouldn’t need to worry about my brother.

A friend of mine told me that if I "went after" his younger sister he would kick my ass, he said that because his younger sister had a crush on me.
I actually saw him beating two other guys who tried their luck with her... lol, he said those two were up to no good, and he was right on that too.
