I am 24, live in my own flat which is rented, work as a trainee lawyer.

I'm told I'm attractive, glamourous etc and I get hit on by random guys yet I am never able to form proper relationships.

I'd been getting on well with a guy from work who led me to believe he was single, although it has now come out that he has a 'sort of girlfriend' (whatever that means !).

I just I just so low as I don't think i will ever be capable of finding love. My last relationship ended in December and that was traumatic as it was so heartbreaking for me.

"Sort of a Girlfriend" IS a girlfriend. And stay the hell away from co-workers, as I am telling you that from experience.

I still do have the same issue as you, in regards to everybody playing games. Now I escaped dating eight years ago because of this. But just because my face is still out there for all to see, they want to make the grave mistake of messing with me, without knowing anything about me. They all learn the hard way. The best thing to do is to just live your life and STOP thinking about dating. This world is a lost cause anymore for relationships, and the best way to look at this is to think to yourself that you are being spared the drama and heartaches the opposite sex will bring you in the long run. Just move on with life and keep to yourself. It is the best thing you could do for yourself.

I was nearly 25 by the time I got my first girlfriend!! Tat only lasted 3 months. A year later, I got my second just after I turned 26, that only lasted about a month. My next and last girlfriend didn't come about for another 8 years just after I turned 34!! That one only lasted 10 years!
Like you, I've bee told that I'm a good-looking guy but, if that's so, why have I never been able to find a lifer? Number one said she was only using me to make another guy jealous, number two, I later discovered, only falls in love with me when she's having a nervous breakdown (she's had several over the past 35 years and, every time, she starts calling me her husband! When she gets better, she only wants to be my friend!), number 3 ended up cheating on me!!

Personally I would concentrate more on turning trainee to passed and qualified.

the stress from being a trainee could be buggering around with your ability to date someone meaningful.

Also for some, such as me I really need to be friends with them first

2 reasons 1 you're a shut in. You can't meet people hiding in your house. 2. Your standards do not reflect reality. A lot of young women go through this. They want their Disney prince. But you need to look in the mirror and realize you're not a princess and that prince is never coming. Ss soon as you do thatcwe can proceed with reality.

And to answer your question, I’m really sorry about that. It’s hard finding love, but you just have to choose guys wisely. And also, that guy seems dodgy. Seriously? “Sorta girlfriend?” You’re one of his options. He’s just using you. Do not go out with him or develop feelings for him. That dude isn’t worth it. Go out more, well, IK that going out for fun when you’re a trainee must be hard because of the work load and stuff, so when you’re going out to buy groceries and you see a guy who you attractive, go introduce yourself. You can find guys in coffee shops, yoga centers, clubs, bars, grocery shops, libraries. It’s a really good way to meet new people
