Long story made short was my girlfriend left us alone after all three of us had been drinking. Her dad picked her up pissed off because someone told on her for drinking. She posted on her Snapchat stories and someone saw it and told her parents. we were at my house so when she left, we were really drunk by ourselves. When my girlfriend left, her friend fell and I grabbed her then fell with her. We landed on top of each other, made eye contact and started making out. I would rather leave out details but we did A LOT. We gave each other oral and had sex without protection.

You chose to get drunk. Now own the consequences. There is absolutely no excuse. It's a bit like accidentally killing someone. You may think it's "just one mistake", but that will in no way undo it. Is it possible to forget it? Not likely. Is it possible to be silent about it and take it to your grave? I guess. If you feel bad about it now, it means you will never ever be able to resolve this and it will slowly melt your gut from the inside. At the very least you should make a meaningful change, accept that the very act of drinking was the problem and that you need to change to prevent such issues in the future. If you can't handle drink safely, stop drinking. Be glad you didn't do anything worse. If I were the one being cheated on, I would want to know. Whether you will be forgiven or just screamed at and dumped on the spot doesn't really matter. It's imho the only way to get a clean new start and make sure that mistake will not follow you everywhere. I guess you could, if you really wanted to, say it was "just some girl" and admit your guilt but not hers. I would personally tell my girlfriend exactly who betrayed her, I would think that I owe at least that much.
First of all, can't really be your girlfriend's best friend or she wouldn't of done that too her friend... Second of all, alcohol/being drunk is a bullshit excuse and doesn't excuse what you did. You telling me, you'd be okay if it was your girlfriend that fucked your best friend cuz they were drunk? And lastly, I hope she finds out and dumps you as her boyfriend and the person that really isn't her friend, because you aren't thinking how this will hurt her/affect her, you're just thinking of yourself and what would happen to you if she finds out .If you really cared about what this would do to her, you wouldn't of done it and you wouldn't be trying to cover it up. You don't feel bad it happened. A real remorseful person would confess before being caught, and beg for forgiveness... Cheaters are selfish and cheaters are liars...

This isn’t just one silly little mistake. Everyone knows the importance of loyalty and they will uphold that. However if you willingly cheat and hurt the “person you love” there is something seriously wrong with you. Well, I’m not going to bash on you and call you a cheater HOWEVER, in my experience drunk words/actions usually come from sober thoughts. Alcohol just gives the confidence to act on those thoughts. Maybe take a step back and figure out if there’s some underlying attraction between you and your girlfriend’s friend and then figure out if you really want to be in this relationship. If not, be honest with your girlfriend.

You will never forget it, but be a gentleman and never tell anyone. I did this with my SO's cousin last year (we were stoned, not drunk), and I later told my SO about it, expecting the worst. She said, "I kind of thought that might happen, and since I've slept with her too, it's not a big deal. Just don't make it a habit please". I got lucky.

I guess if you keep it a secret and get married and she cheats on you at some point it won't matter. You'll have this event to remember and you'll be able to forgive her easily.
@Screenwriter I didn't really mean it as a burn. As someone who was very loyal, but got cheated on in my marriage, I felt like this was a logical way to look at the situation. I guess I'm jaded, but jaded doesn't mean incorrect.

If he can somehow live with the guilt, and her friend doesn't tell her, he could end up with a nice marriage. She could cheat and he will have this dirty secret to keep him from feeling too bad about her betraying him. He did it first and in a big way. It's almost like a secret weapon he has. Like imagine that after 20 years together she goes away on a work trip and has group sex with 3 of her coworkers. Then she comes home and admits to it and gets into a fight with him and says something hurtful. He can either just forget about it or drop the bomb on her that he passionately fucked her best friend with no protection 20 years ago and neither of them told her.

I don’t know, but you should take responsibility for your actions and do whatever you can to prevent that from happening again, and if necessary, not drinking with other girls around.
