Same thing still applies, though. Give him a call. Or don’t. One of the problems with texting is that unless they have “reads reports” turned on, sometimes you just don’t know if they have even seen the message. At least with a phone call, assuming that they answer, you know that they are hearing you. Give him a call. Might be “awkward” since phone calls are “old-fashioned”, but do it anyways. People talked on the phone for YEARS before texting and smartphones took over the world.

Perhaps another thing to consider - you’ll have to ask him….. but he might be terrified. Society has become more and more accepting of one-night-stands etc, so the thought of an actual RELATIONSHIP might be scary for some people. I’m speculating. You’ll probably have to talk to him to find out for sure.

Bottom line, give him a call - but DON’T be a bitch about his failing to respond quickly. You don’t know what you don’t know. Cheers!
