Does being honest about your intentions in a fuckbuddy relationship help prevent the other from getting feelings?

I mean surely if someone gets feelings, you can't really help it. feelings just come naturally with sex especially for girls, and surely it can still happen even if the guy is clear from the start about what he wants right?

if a guy lies to you about having feelings for you & wanting to date you even though his actions indicate that all he wants is sex, it can probably lead to the girl developing feelings due to some sense of hope in the guys lies.

but that can still happen even if the guy doesn't lie right? can a girl still develop feelings knowing the guy only wants sex?

I believe it's always best to be honest with people, but people's feelings can change over time for either the guy or the girl. That's a risk of having a fuckbuddy or a friend.

Both can develop feelings. Maybe that's why people shouldn't have casual sexual relationships? If people would think less about satisfying their genitals and their sexual proclivities, before other things, like love and respect for each other, and themselves, questions like this wouldn't have/need to be asked?

It's like two teens getting pregnant from having consentual, supposedly "being in love with each other", sex. How'd this happen? It happened because you had sex you irresponsible fools! It happened because you wouldn't/diddn't listen to conventional wisdom, ot follow standards of RESPONSIBLE adult behavior, and went out on your own.

You play with fire, you get burned. Have sex, get pregnant. Have sex, develop feelings. What's so hard to understand about the cause and effect? The action and reaction? Is the math REALLY that complicated?

Being honest with your intentions has nothing to do with anything. If people could handle the emotional attachments, again, this question wouldn't have to be asked. Apparently some can't, regardless of their intent. That's why it's not a good idea to think with your parts and your libido.

Being honest with yourself is the more important part.
You should want a casual relationship for the sex, if you are open to the possibility or even hope for there to be "more", you are already on the wrong track.

The casual relationships that worked for me the best were with women who had a specific mindset, and within that mindset our emotional distance was a benefit for them.
They themselves wanted for things to be and remain casual, for various reasons.

Yes, a girl can develop feelings even if she knows the guy only wants sex. It’s less common but so can some men if the roles are reversed. This is why the friends with benefits concept is risky for a lot of people, especially women.

No. Having sex is an intimate thing. Some one is bound to catch feelings. It helps to have an understanding and to reinforce that understanding through, but it won’t help. Someone will always want more and it will mess up the arrangement eventually
