A question to ask yourself is, "Why would a guy want to hear about my love life?" Put the shoe on the other foot. Would you want to hear a guy that you like talk about other girls? Generally, there's some degree of sexual tension in most male-female friendships even if they're considered platonic.
It's not that you can't ask a male friend a specific question that you're genuinely curious about. Just don't go on and on about things. Would you want to hear a friend tell you about a shiny new gift that he/she recently got? Be cognizant of your friend's wishes and intentions, not just your own. Does this make sense?
Okey I see your point, fair enough. Yet, I can assure you that girls don't mind talking / hearing about their male friends' dates and trouble etc.. It's a different story when you are interested in your friend, in which case you should just be honest about your feelings. My question is about genuine friendships, and there are many of those existing. Also, women get friendzoned as well, so it's not always true that a male friend is automatically attracted to the woman.
Fair enough. Yes, women get friend-zoned. Still, there's generally at least some degree of sexual tension in male-female relationships. I may not admit this to female friends, but I will glance at women's breasts regardless of the type of relationship involved. This is not abated by my not wanting a romantic relationship with a woman. If a woman has breasts, I will glance down at them. The larger her breasts, the more frequently my eyes will stray. I'm not proud of this. I feel compelled to look and often feel quite powerless to avert my gaze. It's not like I stare or anything, and no one has ever spoken up about it or expressed uneasiness. I hope that no one catches me doing this.
I have three daughters and I have to listen to their desires and needs and lots about their man while growing up.

Guys don't give a shit about that. That's why women have other women to talk to about shit like that
it's like guys talking to a woman about other women's tit sizes and how big they are and who has the better set of tits or who has the better pussy to look at or who's ass is sexier on which woman
It's your opinion of course, and many guys would agree. Still, you can't speak for everyone because every guy is different, and they"re not threatened to vote on GAG
QA the guys voting yes to this question are not reading it in context. If we are not at all attracted to our lady friend than I would vote yes all day.
But more often than not this has to with friendzoned guys. The guy is hanging out with you because he likes you but doesn’t have the guts to be direct about. Or he was direct about it and you gave him a wishy washy response to keep in on the line (truth is you are not attracted to him but like his attention).
No guy wants to be in the latter scenario or worse have the girl antagonize him by bringing up other guys she likes. No woman would want to hear that either if the roles were reversed.
I’d rather spend what little free time i have hanging out with girls that i’m actually having sex with. I find that girls use guy friends for attention/validation and aren’t even good friends tbh
Of course, I'd love to give him a female perspective when he needs one, and help him see through / be educated on whatever situation involving dating a woman
Unfortunately, men usually lack knowledge about many girl related things, and choose instead to simply believe what they hear from other men or elsewhere, or believe an unrealistic stereorype about anything
I've listened to female advice and it’s always gone terribly wrong. The only thing that has worked well is maybe clothing advice or something. But Id be down to listen to other things like hobbies, interests, movies, etc.

No. Ironically that's when I realized I wasn't her friend.
No, no guy wants to hear such things. It's not good form to tell your guy friends such things.
Why is that?

Yes If he is not totally into you like a thought him being with you makes him vommit and very repulsive then only you can talk.
Just let me know when you're getting married, so I can arrange to be somewhere else on the day.

No, unless you want to continually hear "hate to say I told you so".

i’m not friends with girls they’re acquaintances at best
Interested to know why that is?
I’d rather spend what little free time i have hanging out with girls that i’m actually having sex with. I find that girls use guy friends for attention/validation and aren’t even good friends tbh
She can talk about it but I probably won’t care to listen.
That's not so friendly / honest. Why wouldn"t you care to listen if she"s a friend?
I don't know. Would you care about one of your guy friends sex life or how he has problems dating?
Of course, I'd love to give him a female perspective when he needs one, and help him see through / be educated on whatever situation involving dating a woman

It's also what women hope from their trusted male friends, because men know each other better

No, they just keep their mouths shut as I talk about crypto, for godsake!
If she's hooking me up with hot girls and I'm getting regularly serviced, she can talk about whatever she wants!
To whoever downvoted me, all I can say is that if she doesn't want you to get with hot girls, she's not really your friend.
I don't want to hear about anyone's love interests at all.
Yes, I find them very fun to listen to.
If we're friends, I have no problem with that
If they are close friends yes
Yes! Of course! I don't mind.
I am interested in it
And I’m not gay at all
Yes she can, I don't mind
Sure. They are our friends after all.
I had female friends that I could do this with,
