Should I look to date or not?

So I plan to leave my country completely within the next 3 years or so. It's something I'm 100% set on and will regret for the rest of my life if I don't go. I can always go and come back later. I have however been single for 3 years and I really am getting lonely.

Is it unfair to try and make a connection with someone if I know in my mind and heart that I can't commit 100%? I'm not the kind of guy that can go for a completely casual relationship either. Should I just focus on friends and accept that I'm going to feel lonely for a little bit longer in order to get to where I want to be?

I think you should date. I just think you should date and if the timing fucks you... the timing fucks you. But you never know how things are gonna go. You really don't. Just my 2 cents 🙂
