Timeframe is a bit limited but a lot of details I don’t think I can outline here. Anyway, had some good interactions with a fellow intern at a company were at for the summer. I felt pretty certain there were vibes between us when we’ve interacted, and every time we’ve interacted since I’ve felt more confident. She seems genuinely happy to see me when we run into each other, and laughs at my jokes and other things that aren’t even jokes (and the jokes aren’t good). We work together so it’s not the same as casual but I just had this gut feeling there’s something there.
My best girl friend I explained everything to in detail and she thought so too. Anyway at another event I went up to talk to her in a small group she was in. This was after she went to go to the bathroom and I swear gave me a glance when she walked by. Things went well until the convo turned to a guys girlfriend, and this girl was asked if she had a boyfriend and she said yes. I feel like she had opportunities to drop she had a boyfriend before in front of me.
Anyway, my best friend still thinks this girl is crushing on me. I guess my plan is to still interact with her a lot, get coffee with her, etc without asking her out well, cause she’s got a boyfriend. Has anyone had success in a situation like this? Normally I’d just give up clearly but I feel a real connection here. I’ve been friend zoned by my fair share of girls and flirted with playfully, but this just feels different. I’ve also jumped to conclusions super quick in the past if a beautiful girl talks to me but in this case I didn’t notice her or intend for this ti happen, nor felt that instant “omg she likes me”
