My boyfriend of 8 years likes girls bikini and ass pictures on instagram. i ask him why he does it and gives me different answers. i’m not sure if im not sexy enough for him or no matter what i do this is something men will continue doing? am i being insecure or is this technically normal for this day in age?

I think it's a normal thing for him to do. And it's not fair for you.

I will admit that I might still look around or something. But if I have a girlfriend at the time, I will talk to her about it. "Hey, hun, did you see that bikini she was wearing? I think that looks hot. I want to see you in it so that I can see your butt or your boobs more." Something like that. that way she understands why and opens the door to bringing this back to me and her, not me and some other girl.

It's pretty typical for most men these days, but only because most men are pretty trashy. Personally I would not ever date someone who looked at bikini girl pictures, whether they're in a relationship or not. Such a pubescent child thing to do.
