You are thinking about dating as a means to collect a trophy and get bragging rights with the guys. And in that scheme, single moms are not trophies. If that's how you think about dating, you aren't going to get much satisfaction from dating.

Some of them were married, started a family, and were abandoned by their husband. They are not all sluts and losers; SOME of them are but many of them are not.

That's okay though, I'll respond with my agreement that they certainly aren't all alike. Widows are far different cases than the ones where the woman chose to have a man's baby and then later decided to leave him.

The problem that I encountered when I was much younger and I dated single moms was that they introduced me to their kids too soon, I got attached to the kids, and they got attached to me, too. It's a horrible and absolutely unnecessary complication when it's time to break up. The single moms I dated did not have drama with their kids' father, as I avoided dramatic women regardless of the subject of their drama.

There are certain things you expect in good mothers, such as that theyre kids will always come first and that they will protect them as humanly possible. Good mothers would not introduce someone quickly because of the excellent point you made, and also because they haven't spent enough time qualifying the man to determine if he's safe for this children to be around in general.

Dating does have a winning and losing aspect. The moment you give up this view then you don't mind losing. When you lose you have low self esteem and value.
