I really like one guy in our school so I decided that I am gonna make a first move and send him a DM. We already have a lot of eye contact and he also iniciates one short conversation in person.

So guys here is my question:

-Do boys like when a girl makes the first move or what do you think about her?

well, sure... three out of my four ex-girlfriends made the "first move" plus two other great girls I've met, but we did not become a thing

however, this was all done in person and face to face... DM's and leaving it to text is not my thing really, not to say that I would "reject" it, I just prefer it way more personal and organic

Yeah I agree with you. I would make the first move in person but he is always with his homies so I just can't do it.

if they were to be interested on you as well, being with friends will not stop them if you approach them

Most guys rarely receive compliments. For a girl to make the first move on them would likely be the best compliment they could ever receive, even if they aren't interested in the girl.
