I mean think about it, men are usually expected to make the first move so women can mostly just sit back and see with who they want to talk further and who not.
but if a woman goes out of her way to initiate stuff, i do think that she likes you a lot. It can be anything like initiating touch, convos, or asking if you are single out of the blue.

So the point of a woman engaging with interest can infact by psychotic in its own action. Where as we both know that woman dont make a lot of sense and do things and take actions they dont mean. Say things they dont do, ask questions to things they dont act of the concern of.
In fact there are many cheating scenarios and to quote from a comedian, there is so much porn out there, its more likely for it to fall of before running out by the time your 80, with everyone stopping production of everything as is and yet woman will be the first to tell you theyre not interested in sex.

If you have an opportunity with someone, you should be pursing it if its on your mind because obviously you have an interest in it.
No woman makes a move or expresses and interest in a man, outside of being drunk, without consideration of the man.

For some women it's just natural for them to talk to everyone and initiate convos. That's just how they are.
But for other women (more introverted/reserved), going out of their way to strike up convos with some stranger is a too big of a step for them. So if they make an exception for u, it's most likely they like you.
Regarding the touching bit of your story... Well, it would depend what kind of touch that was lol.

I think it's true. It's not super natural for us girls to make the first move because a lot of the time we might feel like it should be up to the guy to make the first move (plus, because it's terrifying and we're awkward sometimes). So if a girl is putting herself out there first, it's probably worth it to them.
I've been trying to be a bit more out-there and upfront instead of waiting for the guy to notice me without me putting anything out there. So far, both times I've liked a guy I've been making the first move and it has worked out pretty well.

If a woman makes the first move that to me usually means she likes you a lot. For the average woman, that usually isn't something we do unless the guy is just that shy and it's almost like you have to make the first move to get him to see that you like him.

When a person values a woman making the first move, it shows that they appreciate a woman's confidence, the sureness of herself, and initiative.
Most men love it. In fact, they might just encourage the act to the secret society of unsure women. They want to take some of the pressure off of themselves for once, not having to worry about making the first call, text, hangout, or date arrangement.
