Like your value is determined by your work and not your consumption of resources, that you will probably never be as rich as those Wall Street guys, that you have to count calories to avoid getting fat, that marriage is about children and not about your attraction to the other person, or that love is earned by taking care of yourself and nobody cares how compassionate and sweet you are if you don’t protect your body, that you can’t get rid of debt by pretending it doesn’t exist, that graduate school is depressing and done to achieve a goal etc… people who don’t have loving parents might use the television screen for advice about how to live which leads to the problems in our world.

it shouldn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the media has a habit of lying or lying by omission though I don't think it's the media's job to tell people how to live and operate their lives

however that being said, what you've stated doesn't come from the media but by society at large where everybody is expected to uphold the status quo and not deviate from such which is especially the case for men

Material "wealth" is the biggest scam we have in our society. Is doesn't bring you happiness at all! Chasing it is foolish. Everyone who thinks that money and material wealth is neede in their lifes in order to feel happy, is totally being brainwashed by the media.

Yes. For example, the media haven’t told us that Ukraine has lost 20,000 soldiers during the first few weeks of their offensive without making any significant gains. Listening to the US/UK media you would think they are winning.

there is no media anymore. Media was fair and balanced when I grew up. Watch Walter Cronkite videos, you never knew what party he favored. Today every reporter on CNN is democrat every reporter on Fox GOP.
