What's the point in having a girlfriend?

what's the point in having a girlfriend? I am new to dating and I not sure what do with them or why is it good to have or not have one? I get sex and she look good and it give me something do. But I not sure what else to have one for.

I know this should be the most important question on GAG.

I want someone tell my day to but most of the girls need a guy for bills and I do not want one that need me for that. I get to take her out to fun place for food and thing.

it seem like most of the time I waiting for a girl at the store. Also we seem to fight about what to do or what we want with each other girl want my money and sometime I do not like what they do. In sex we seem like the same person but outside of that I can not control them and they seem to want other thing and not the same thing as me bad thing that I do not like or agree with.

being with a girl is just ok unless we fight then it not fun. I want be with someone fun who I can chat with for a long time and who get me and dose not need stuff all the time.

I not sure how keep a girlfriend and not be the same person. what make her her own person?

The point in having a girlfriend, is regular sex. You could say "well, isn't that what an friends with benefits is?". Yeah, but then isn't the first word in that "friend". Why would you "fuck" a friend, over?

What you're ACTUALLY asking here is, what's the point of a girlfriend, if you do/don't plan on marriage or kids

If you don't want kids, why get married, right? If you don't want marriage, why have kids, right? Since according to "religion", you're not supposed to have kids outside of marriage. And according to "religion" divorce is illegal. So, if you don't think you'll survive with them, why are you with them

I do not have one I broke up with the one I had cause she need money and stuff all the time. I had sex with a girl and I like being with her but she mess up and need thing all the time and just want a friends with benefits. The other girl need money and food all the time and I want help her but still I do not like her. I have little to no use for her. I need a better girlfriend that can take care of her self and is not with a lot of other people.

I used to ask this when I was a kid. My friends that had girlfriends always had some issue that they were dealing with. Girlfriends seemed more trouble than they were worthy. When I went to college I finally met a girl who later became my girlfriend. It was really the small moments that we experienced together that were the best. Meeting for breakfast, or walking to class together were really different when in a relationship. On Friday we would always meet after class an go to the bank and get some cash for the weekend. Even standing in a tellers line was better with somebody else

Pros of being with my girlfriend are:

- She's like a best friend that you get to see every day and know everything of.

- We like the same things so doing things I like, automatically turn into dates. We're both happy

- She's my Player 2. We play Life co-op mode and support eachother

- I get to share my most important moments with someone close to me. Every moment, she'll be there. I participated in a tournament. My parents weren't there, my brother couldn't make it. But she was there.

- I'm the first one to know if something is wrong.

- The little things. She cooks. And it's very good.

- Her libido matches mine, I get sex whenever I want. And I get woken up to sex.

- She does chores and I don't even ask her, she just does them.

- We both get hit on. We are our own confidence booster, it feels good to show off. We just laugh it off

IMHO the best reason for having a girlfriend is because you enjoy being near her, enjoy her company. She makes you smile, and generally feel happy.

Many women are completely capable of taking care of themselves but enjoy dating guys who make them happy.

If you have to think of it as transactional "I have to do X to get Y", its probably not a good relationship.

I get the point of having one someone I want be with that understand me and get me and fun be with. I just have not found anyone like that yet.

Most of the girl do not get me and just want stuff from me.
