I mean he asks you to be his partner and then you say yes. Then shortly after he comes and tells you he is no longer interested and sorry for the inconvenience? I mean this just happened to someone I know and we all don't know how to make her happy. She has already liked him.

Thank them for letting me know so quickly rather than move forward with a one sided relationship that they’re not actually interested in. It’s sort of happened to me before. I asked a guy to be my boyfriend and he said yes, and then the next day he said “sorry I can’t be your boyfriend, I still have feelings for my ex and want to be with her”. I respected him for being honest with me and held no bad feelings towards him.
