Women have changed over the past few generations with the rise of social media and the forays into equality. Women used to see their role in life as to find a partner, get married, and raise a family. A woman's life was geared towards this end. I'm not saying the move towards equality was bad thing. It's NOT! But we are going through a time of social change. And social media has exacerbated this situation. Women still want love as the always have. But less want to fill traditional roles to get it. As a result women are setlling for hookups and f*** buddies for temporary gratification of her feelings. She knows it won't last. But it gives her temporary relief and gives illusion of control. You'll see women who sleep around a lot defend it as her "taking control of sexual destiny". This almost always leads feelings of inadequacy for her later though.

I think this will get better and that bothe genders will eventually start seeing eachother more equally. But I think this will get a whole lot worse before it gets better for at least a couple more generations.

Not necessarily the best looking men, though that's often the case (with men and women). The richer, the more influential, too. Men with the best jobs (gotta be over six figures for a lot of women).

Which is fun, because I am really really screwed, and probably always will be.

I'm ugly. And while I love my job, it isn't known for bringing in much money.

Generally, both men and women tend to look for people on around their "level" of attractiveness. So just like good looking guys like pretty girls, pretty girls like good looking guys. It's reciprocal.

I wouldn't say it's the top %1 of guys though. Those are, like, top male models or actors in Hollywood. Pretty girls who are not top models or actresses won't go for the top %1 in male attractiveness. They usually like good looking guys who are normal and who are in their reach.

@Chthou95 Not from my experience. Most of my female friends date slightly down in terms of physical attractiveness. Women SLEEP up, but they don't usually date up. Men date up more frequently.

@Iuarez Physical attraction in general is subjective. If these girls aren't going for you, you might not be their individual type. There WILL be someone who likes you in return. Just keep searching ! There will be a girl you find attractive who also finds you attractive.

Also, "I should get the best girl".. what does that mean? Do you mean the most attractive girl? Because the model-looking girls generally date model-looking guys.
