Still working from home I've earned more money these last few months than I ever had... and pretty much not had any time off to spend it on! That's a paradox lol
Depends on the company lol but my job you can work four 10 hour days, have three days off or work three 12 hr days and have 4 days off, so I work 10 hours, Tuesday through Friday and off Saturday, Sunday and Monday
Oh I definitely hear yah.. I've been told I should be a Writer.. But I'm that person guilty of letting their fear of failure hold them back.. Am loving the 4 day work week though.. Don't think could go back to 5 day work week, not permanently anyways, will be working 5 days once mandatory overtime kicks in, which is right around the corner
I have managed to write some movie screenplays since I started writing in my last year of high school, but as of yet, I haven't sent anything to a movie studio, actually, I need a literary agent first to better represent my work. Without meaning to sound to assure of myself as a writer that my stories are so great they will sell themselves. Nevertheless, I have worked hard on them, making them funny, scary, romantic, and adventurous as much as any writer can do. So with that, I stay confident I will be successful when I do. Another reason would be is that I want to write some more stories and sell them at the same time, so as to make more money, I may suffer the curse of never wanting to write again if they don't do well.
I'm rather work with deadlines and productivity wage focus. You accomplish things, you earn from accomplishments, no hourly wager nor "working" sitting in a desk staring the void for no logical reason.
:) What I'm talking about here is that I prefer to earn for the quality of my work, not by spending time on it. Often I can do things faster than my peers, and I end up staring at walls for no reason because the contract demands it. It's counter-productive and pointless.. To me the wage system we use today in society is very flawed, and only really gives advantage to the rich...
For instance, a Graphic Designer earns less by getting hired than they can earn by simply sticking to freelance contracts, under employment their work becomes undervalued and underpaid, if they were to charge for each piece they make for their employer, they could earn up to 5 times what they do under employment. So in my eyes it's better to earn for productivity, which also benefits the company overall.
So if I have a deadline for X, do it in 10 minutes, but that deadline was for a week, I simply earn myself the rest of the week as a holiday, free time. I prefer that because it attaches more value to the work done, productivity increases, and improves the quality of life. Japan for instance has 8 hours work journeys, but they are almost always forced into unpaid extra hours, racking up to 12 hours daily work. Japan is the worst country in the world regarding productivity, make what you will with that information.
That way, I agree. I worked for a government agency for years and actually made less by being more productive than others that till twice as long to do the job as it took me. So I had higher productivity rates than they did, but smaller paycheck.. Those "you're in the top 5 for your region" emails/accolades don't pay the bills
I love my wacky hrs, no two days are the same. Some days its a 16 or 24 day and some times its 6 hrs. Days off none unless I have a replacement to take my place
Yeah I thought about doing the 12 hours for three days but thought it might be too much, but gonna be working 12 hours once mandatory overtime kicks in
👍I am usually up early so rather work early, get home earlier and work less days... Barely slept 3 hours but up, ready, leave it at 5... Took coffee to achieve though lolol
It really went fast, I was so busy didn't even feel the difference, plus most 8 hour jobs don't pay you for lunch hour, so if you 6-2:30 you really there 8 1/2 hours, but only paid for 8, so I'm really only there an extra 1 1/2 hours but paid for the full ten hours, breaks included

I value my time far more than I value money, so hey give me loads of days off.
Right! But actually I'm making more money, less time
Still working from home I've earned more money these last few months than I ever had... and pretty much not had any time off to spend it on! That's a paradox lol
Isn't it always lol
How many days would I receive if I pick longer hours.
Depends on the company lol but my job you can work four 10 hour days, have three days off or work three 12 hr days and have 4 days off, so I work 10 hours, Tuesday through Friday and off Saturday, Sunday and Monday
Sounds really reasonable, also what is your job by the way?
I work in a distribution center
Distribution is that like carrying freight?
It's basically a warehouse with product/merchandise to be redistributed to retailers or wholesalers
Oh that's cool, so kinda like Home Depot in a sense?
No, like the place home Depot would get there supplies from
Oh that's sounds really cool, do you like the job?
So far so good
That is definitely good that the company is good because not all companies treat their employees good.
So very true
I am a writer, i work at my own pace. I tried to have a 9 to 5 job, but working for bosses and dealing with co-workers, or customers isn't my speed.

Good luck
Thank You, Brainsforbeauty, i'll send you an autographed copy of my novel, or give you tickets when the movie comes out.
Cool 😎 thanks
Assuming I'd still get the same amount of hours I'd definitely do it. I'd do it even if it's all five days a week.
I get 40 hours in 4 days and 3 day weekend, can get 20 hours overtime working 5 and still have two days off

Well I don't sit at a desk so🤷 and I'm very productive at my job...
:)

I would work longer hours for less days.
I want the distinction between work and play to be clear.
Yeah I thought about doing the 12 hours for three days but thought it might be too much, but gonna be working 12 hours once mandatory overtime kicks in
Well in my place it’s 9 hours for 5 days but I’ll still be okay if it changes to 12 hours for four days.
Well currently I work about 90 hours a week so both I guess?
Yikes, Yeah that's a lot
Deffo shorter hours. I'm not really awake before 10:00.
👍I am usually up early so rather work early, get home earlier and work less days... Barely slept 3 hours but up, ready, leave it at 5... Took coffee to achieve though lolol
I actually do work long hours and only four days a week.
👍👍 me too
I worked four 10 hour days and I found the extra 2 hours rough. I was on my feet.
So am I, but then I have 3 days to rest my feet
If it works for you. They were trying a scheduling experiment and it did not last.
It depends on when breaks are allowed on longer days.
We get two 20 minute paid breaks
That helps!
Right!
Longer hours but less days. Though for me it is longer hours n 6days a week.
👍 and yeah I'll be working longer hours soon, but it'll be 5 12 hour days, so still have two off
now i do pray rhat you can do well and handle them alright with no challenge
I'm a tough cookie🍪
4 days longer hours and 3 day long weekend sounds good to me!
Yeah I'm loving it
Longer hours, less days. I'd take two fifteen hour days and one ten hour day just to only work three days a week.
Longer days , more days off, sounds better.
👍👍I like it better that's for sure
Far fewer hours. I wasn't born to spend my life working for several hours a day. Screw that.
Less hours. I can't work that long.
👍👍 for me those 10 hours flew by faster than when I was working 8
You're lucky. I can't even imagine working ten hours and being fine.
Good for you :)
Longer hours/less days
👍👍 it definitely nicer
Longer hours and less days.
Yeah I'm loving it
I had this schedule on my 1st work. I don't like the work but this schedule made me stay for a while.
