I want to and dont want to join the military at the same time. I know if I don't I know ill eventually say that I should've and I'll regret it but I'm getting really nervous about it all for certain reasons. I haven't signed any papers yet but once and if I sign those papers I'll be stuck in there and there won't be a thing I can do about it. I'm just wondering if since I'm having worries and doubts if it's even a good idea. I really got nothing else going on for me in life. I'm sick of my job and bored with life so in a way it could be good for me. What's your opinion on what I should do?
Did you post the other one as well?
Please do not join if you have an anxiety disorder. Please don't listen to your recruiter and lie about your anxiety as well.
Chances are it'll get a lot worse when you join. Then you'll be trying to get out.
People are going to be correcting you, "motivating" you, on your case, and you will be held to a higher standard. You'll be away from home friends and family and be stuck in different time zones. You're on salary. There is no overtime when you're working 12 hours 5 days a week.
The military isn't for everyone. You can always set goals, explore, and find something that motivates you.
