Why do some people think it's okay to talk so concisely without diplomacy?

You ask them a question, such as whether a certain service can be offered to you, and they email back stating only the facts about why they can't help you, without any words like 'unfortunately', 'sorry', or without phrases like 'but if there's anything else I can do just let me know'. It's as if they think that the facts should be enough for you, even though it seems like they're implicitly saying that they're glad that they can't help you. How do these types of people live with themselves?

I just want to sarcastically write back to them saying 'oh!!! I didn't know that before!! Thanks so much!!!', because usually what my implicit question is, is 'I know these are barriers to you helping me, but are you absolutely SURE there's nothing you can do?'

because it IS ok. not everyone is a fucking politician who has to care about their public relations. if i run a business and i don't wanna deal with easily offended little bitches, i'll be concise and to the point and just not do any business with these who get offended and i am right to run my business that way, just like you're right in not being a customer of that business.

Because most bureaucrats are hating their jobs and don’t care about you. Also, no corporation is ever going to say “I’m sorry,” because America is so litigious that doing so looks like an admission of guilt that can invite a civil suit.

My guess would be that they might be having to respond to a lot of people that they cannot help don't have the energy to craft diplomatic responses.

Because social skills are on the decline in a society whose own government is pushing for a civil war so they can stamp out the few freedoms we pretend we still have in the name of safety or the children.
