I had a job interview with the manager. He said that he thinks I am the right fit for the position and gave me a list of the documents I should bring to start. However, he also mentioned that the final decision lies with HR. The next day, I had a Zoom meeting with HR, but it did not go very well. Do you think I will get the job?
HR would usually be the last instances to make the decision based on their experience. If you feel that the interview did not go well, you may probably not get the job unless the manager that interviewed you first speaks favorably of you and is able to overrule the decision of HR.
There are a few determining factors that you must consider.
1. Are there a lot of other candidates that met the same requirements as you do?
2. Are your qualifications better than the ones of the other candidates?
3. After all, the manager has to work together with you and not HR. Therefore, if the manager can persuade HR that you are the right person despite the fact that you did not do so well with HR, you may still get the job.
There is no need to worry at this time and let's hope that the manager is able to convince HR that you are the right person for the job. Good luck.

I hate jobs where you gotta bring documents after document and get into a long job interview. I just like to get in there and get the job done and go to work.
