Do you do the math or use a calculator?

When you're doing a math problem for bills, budgets, something for your job, or anything else involving math, do you work through it yourself or do you use a calculator?

I usually do the problem, but I'll use a calculator or my phone to check and verify my work.

I can do both so it depends on the situation. A calculator may not be handy or it may be quicker to do the calculation in my head. And, if it is solving an algebra problem, a calculator is worthless until after I solved the problem, then the answer, may be a calculation I can do in my head.

A calculator, otherwise we’ll be there all day because i’ll keep secondguessing myself even if i got it right the first time. This is why i regret majoring in business because i wouldn't last a day in finance nor working at a bank

although I can do it in my mind and do it right... I still HAVE TO verify it with the calculator, lol... to be sure sure

If it is just regular times tables, division, subtraction, addition, etc., I can do it in my head. However, if you are talking calculus or algebra, I need a piece of paper or a calculator.

I've got this weird thing where I worry the math rules have changed overnight and nobody has told me. I know 5 5=10 but I've got to check to be sure.
