My boyfriend is bad at introducing me to people. How do I talk to him about this?

My boyfriend of 7 months love me very much and he is truly an amazing guy. But when we go out with friends of his he forgets to introduce me and then I feel awkward standing there for so long. His college has a huge alumni network and he loves his friends from college (which is great) but when we are in a social setting he forgets to introduce me and I feel like an idiot just standing there. The stares I get from the other people we are talking to are awkward until I introduce myself or they introduce themselves. I feel awkward and the other people feel awkward. I know this has nothing to do with how he feels about me but I really wish he was better at this. I think it is just a lack of social etiquette. Am I over reacting about this or can I bring this up? We are moving in together and he tells me he wants to spend the rest of his life with me, so I feel like he should be able to introduce me to his friends in social settings. I don't want to ruin an otherwise amazing relationship so how do I get him to improve in this little way?

Simply tell him that if he doesn't introduce you, it leaves you feeling awkward and out-of-place. If worse comes to worst, you could always introduce yourself.
