My parents ask me for money every day?

I’m so frustrated with this. How do I stop family members from begging from me? I work hard to save my money and budget, while my family has money problems. I don’t know how to stop them from asking for money. It’s draining me and making me depressed. Has anyone dealt with this? How do you get them to stop? With everything so expensive right now I don’t really want to give out money. Also, my sister is poor as well. Why is it my job to give away money because I went to college and now how to save my money? I been helping for three years now. My husband says distance my self from them and ignore sometime. Is this right?

You could try and distance yourself a bit. Sometimes they get used to that, and it can be tough love from you to just say no. If they are healthy enough they can find a job and not be so dependent on you. If you keep giving them money then they feel like she'll always be there if I ask. They need to rely on other sources like getting a job. So yes unless they are starving to death then they need to step up and make some money

Your husband is right. Say no. They'll be mad, of course, but say no.

I know how you feels. I'm going through the same in a light way. I give 25% of my salary to my parents.

If your parents really don't have money to live, we can't do much. If you stop giving them, they'll starve.
