I know my friend has a tumor and had a biopsy done on it. This was 31 days ago, and I was told results would be due in about 2 weeks time. Chatted briefly with my friend early last week but he didn’t mention it and I didn’t want to seem inquisitive so didn’t ask. I know he’s been taking muscle relaxants to be able to sleep which is very unlike him who very rarely uses even over the counter pain killers. My imagination is running wild and I fear my friend had some really bad news and is in shock or something. What would you surmise, do people react like going silent if they get to know the tumor they have was worse than expected? Or was it more likely more benign and they want to downplay it?

Can't really tell, people react to such things differently... and it might even be a different reason altogether
