Seriously how hard is it for men to find a faithful, loyal woman today?

My parents, a couple relatives and I are trying to guide my younger 24 year-old brother through this difficult time. He returned our money and the surprise he was going to give his now ex girlfriend. It was expensive and we helped him pay for it.

This is how he told us he found out:

His work colleague (and good friend too) took a couple pictures of them in the park. He told him to go there. They both got there and they were still there, kissing and even talking bad about him. The other guy was actually one of his many friend so it was a double betrayal. Apparently they've been cheating for a couple months.

We often have to deal with jerks, players, future fakers, bad guys, etc but from the looks of it, the decent men have it just as hard. Is it really that hard for them to find a good, faithful, loyal woman? I want to hear the other side of the coin. Is it really that hard?

It's honestly pretty bad, yeah. Genuinely good guys get screwed by women's insecurities; bad boys know how to prey on those insecurities. So, in the same way that no woman will ever be good enough to convince a guy to stop being a fuck boy (he has to make that decision on his own), there will never be a man good enough to make an insecure woman feel genuinely good about herself.

The good guy makes the mistake of believing that he can make a woman feel good about herself, but that's just not how the female mind works.

I'm speechless to be honest. Since we're little girls, we're taught about little Red Riding Hood and watch out for the big bad wolf (male always) and we always have an idea that there are players and predators/sharks out there.
Yet, no one ever got my brother prepared for insecured, cheating or bad, goldding women out there. He was taught to be a decent guy of values and he followed through the teachings.

It's funny you bring this up because both my nephews have had to deal with this. Last Christmas my sister was ranting about how she feels like she failed them because she raised them to be gentlemen and she didn't know these types of women existed so she didn't prepare them for that. And I made her mad cause I started laughing. And and she got mad and said "why is that funny"? And I told her, "Because you're over 40 and you're just learning this". "You think I'm single by choice" 🤣. No, I just know a quality woman when I see one because I've had many good role models in my life. And I'm sorry but so few women understand commitment today. And I don't know if that's an unintended affect of feminism or just a result of society.

Just like your sister, neither my mother, grandma from both sides, me nor another older relatives were prepared for that bad news. The girl took us all by surprise to be honest. She seemed family oriented.
Both my brother and I were raised with integrity, morals in a well brought up environment with loving, faithful parents. Yeah we're all still honestly shocked. No one ever adviced him about being prepared for bad, lying girls or that there are female wolves in sheep clothings.

Well it sucks. But look at it this way. At least it happened now. He hadn't married or had kids with her. So while it sucks I'm not minimizing it. But It could have been much worse.

I'm speechless. Sex and eternal cohabitation has been taking over commitment and marriage nowadays. It's all about pleasure and instant gratification. I'm disappointed.

It can be easy or it can be hard.

One girl destroyed me. So yeah good guys do get destroyed by evil women. But I don't think it is hard to find or notice somewhere good. The problem is back then I couldn't tell you a good girl from a bad one unless they were really bad. Now I can. I know what to look for. I know exactly what to look for. A girl can be good and still be a red flag.

My mother and grandma are really wondering where are these bad, lying women coming from. They were taken by surprise by that awful ex girlfriend.

it’s tough…women can be really sneaky. I don't know how a man would have no idea his girl was cheating on him if he was really invested in the relationship tho…when a woman is infatuated with you it’s obvious she has no interest in other men, and if you ever let that die, then it’s up to her personal moral standards and it’s difficult to find a girl with high ones these days

Nearly impossible in my experience to find a good mate with compatible morals and an acceptable past. I have been single for 15 years. Of course, I am in liberal California where very few people have good morals at all.

yeah we were all anticipating the moment, my parents were proud that they would be future grandparents soon... all that went into the garbage.
She seemed like a family oriented to be honest, was hispanic bilingual but wow... what a bad ending.

True. I think what's making it harder to is the fact the other guy she cheated on him was one of his friends. It's a double betrayal. He was also talking bad about him. Wow.. Both are disgusting scumbags.

I don't get it. Wouldn't many of us love a young man like my brother that's willing to commit? He was ready already and she had to destroy his goals, his dreams of wanting a child, etc.
Why would someone cheat on a good person and even worse talk bad about them (the other guy who was his friend also did)?

Both my brother and I were raised with faithful, loving parent... same values, integrity, same thing. I don't know what could've gone wrong for him to get cheated on.
Both the slut and the scumbag (the other man she cheated with was one of his friends) were talking bad about him being somewhat conservative and too serious. Wow... so now being serious, wanting commitment and do things the old ways is frowned upon? The world has gone upside down. I'm so speechless and disappointed.

But the bad guy type isn't the one that commits, proposes and forms a family with her. It's all just pure worthless lustful moment, not the real thing in the long run.
My brother doesn't understand how they could both not only cheat but talk bad about him. They found him somewhat conservative and too serious. I don't understand either. That's a good trait in a person.
