How do I befriend guys and make it 100% platonic?

I was in a girls only school my entire childhood but now that I'm (16) in high-school I switched to a mixed school. Most of the girls in my class are friends with the guys in our class. Even my (girl) friends are friends with them. But they always do the "could you help me with my hw" and similar excuses to talk to them. Which I find very repulsive. I'm not good at talking to guys as friends without it being awkward. I can text guys online just fine but if I talk to them irl I'm scared it might be awkward. Plus, I feel like it's obvious that I don't know how to talk to guys since I get so uncomfortable and awkward around them. Eventhough I generally prefer guys as friends cause it's a lot easier dealing with them (I have brothers). Please give me any advice or tips that would help me. Thank you!
