Should pronoun parties be at the individual or group level?

A pronoun party is where a child announces to the world what they would like their pronouns to be. It's a great way of them getting the message out to a large number of friends and family.

But does every child need it's own personal pronoun party? Could you just combine them in to one big party where everyone announces their pronouns. There could even be an International holiday like Christmas where kids tell us what they are and remind us every year

Every parent knows birthday parties can run expensive, especially when your trying to keep up with the Jones. But individual parties make a child feel special and ensure the focus is on them. But we have to recognise times are tough so I see nothing wrong with families in a street all having their pronoun party in the church hall at the same time.

I had never encountered the pronoun issue anywhere but on the internet until November when I went in for a routine checkup. My birth gender was established, but the check in lady asked what gender I identified with. I was at the OB/GYN office, so why bother with this question? Then she asked for my personal pronouns, and I told her "you/your" would be just fine. But noooooooo, it wasn't. Second and first person are not options, she said, I had to choose from her drop-down menu: they could be either he/him or she/her, so stop being difficult and just pick one. I went with she/her since I/me or you/your weren't options.

What a mess.

@EmmaMary I don't know, I just roll with it. Funny thing about this is we'll come up with about any excuse for a party these days. "Gender reveal" parties are now pretty common, from simple gatherings to announce whether it's going to be a boy or girl, to more elaborate (and goofy) reveals: the most recent one I went was a couple held a picnic in a clearing, and sent off a Tannerite explosion scattering blue powder to announce they were having a boy. Whatever, I thought, at least there was a sandwich in it for me.

Regarding the idea of having a collective pronoun party, it could be a practical and cost-effective way of celebrating gender diversity and promoting inclusivity.

However, it's important to ensure that the focus remains on each child's unique identity and pronoun preference, rather than just treating it as a routine or a formality.

A child at a pronoun party might feel pressured to select a pronoun, without respect to the child's autonomy, just as one may feel pressure to accept Jesus as their savior in a church or get a girlfriend just to go to the school dance.

In summary, this is a bad idea, but if you have one, I'll come as a she/her and leave as a man.

To be honest I think this is all nonsense, not because I discount or dismiss what these people claim to be experiencing but because I honestly don't think there is a single human who could adequately define what gender actually means when you live in a society where traditional gender roles have been abandoned and homosexuality is practiced.

I am certain that gender still means something but before we start worrying about pronouns and parties I think we should work out what gender means.

i think if you're allowing your child to take part ina pronoun party, you failed as a parent. and if you are taking part yourself, you failed at being a person.

pronouns aren't your property. pronouns is what people use to describe the world. people who are trying to tell everyone what pronouns to use are narcissistic morons. don't pay attention to them.

just dress according to what's in between your legs and you're not gonna have these made up issues and struggles.

I expect each person to be two gifts 🎁 party. He/She would be most preferred house guest as the married couple hosting would both benefit from its presence.
Same applies at weddings and Christmas. It worked really well at Super Bowl party as I have never seen do many cases of beer.
Next year I’ve already got both He/She and He/She friend list. One keg less is a huge savings in a Biden hyperinflation economy.
