I came to a shite job I hate because it brought me closer to home. I'd do it again in a heartbeat because quality of life beats career any day of the week.

No. I value life quality and happiness over things I hate and that would certainly become the bane of my existence. I've done enough things I truly hated in my life to never want to ever have to deal with it again. I could spend that time actually doing something less bad or more productive with something I actually like.
