I finally figured it out. Moms see their daughters, females, as equal to them; however, they see their sons as their child. I buy my mom presents, help her around the house, care for her when she is sick, she turns to me when she's struggling, she always asks for my opinion and my advise, yet, i rarely feel like she cares for me as she cares for my brother. She always question my intentions, but not him. She always give him more, she likes him more, although he never really do any of the things i do for her, he can literally see her struggling physically and won't lift a finger. And she loves him more y'all i can literally see it in everything she does. And it hit me, my mom sees me as an equal woman, but she sees my brother as her baby. I wish she would treat me once like him. I'm so sad
You are raising an issue that has been addressed over 100 years ago by Austrian psychoanalyst Dr. Sigmund Freud.
He came up with the so-called Freudian theory, called the Oedipus complex. In short, it says
"the Oedipus complex refers to a son's attitude towards his mother and concomitant hostility toward his father. The opposite also applied and it was called the Electra complex.
In a short and very simplified summary, sons are more attracted to their mothers while girls to their father. You can read about that Oedipus complex in any online encyclopedia.
In the meantime, this theory has been revised.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I know you feel. I don't have brothers, only sisters but I do have a nephew. My mother treats him like a god that she must respect and obey. He can make the biggest mistake in the world but she always forgives him and says that he's innocent. She does anything for him, even when he treats her like s**t.
So I can definitely relate to you. It makes me sad too.
Not how it was for me growing up. I was never babied like my sisters. My mom does say I'm her favorite tho, but that's because I'm the only one who's nice to her lol
It's just an extension of all female-female relationship dynamics.
